Jeevan Rekha Parishad (JRP), otherwise known as Lifeline Council is an independent, secular, non-governmental research and development organization working for peace, solidarity, human rights and sustainable livelihood issues in Orissa state of India. Established in 1993. JRP has been working in the field of different health, human rights, child labour eradication, environment protection, bio-diversity conservation, sustainable livelihood promotion, child disability, agriculture etc. The organization has its own building and infrastructure besides a team of dedicated volunteers and staff.
JRP works in Orissa state, one of the most backward and poorest state of India covering four districts namely Khurda, Puri, Bhadrakh and Nayagarh . As a focal point of National Human Rights Foundation (NHRF) – JRP works on Human Rights Networking and Advocacy throughout the State. JRP is the India Coordinator of Master Peace (www.masterpeace.org) and Youth in Action Programmes of European Commission through CESIE, Italy. Also, JRP is functioning as state Secretariat for White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood.
