Sai Anand Niwas – A home for senior citizen Initiative provides care for the helpless old-aged people in Odisha and beyond These people are often neglected by their families, excluded from society and forced to live in poverty. We welcome them at ourHome and provide them with the necessary shelter, nourishment, clothing and medical care along with counseling and job-skill training. These people deserve to live peacefully as valued members of the society before going to their eternal home.visit our youtub video.
- Government of India has adopted National Policy on Older People (NPOP-1999)- but the scheme remains on paper and never implemented.
- A large part of the elderly, especially women are often denied basic rights.
- There is no residential facility for old people that could provide proper care for a peaceful file.
- The families and care givers of the elderly can not afford them adequate health services and nutrition.
- The lack access to specific geriatric care – elders above 70 years suffer from 1 or more chronic conditions like CHD, cancer & HD.
- Old people are deprived of participation in social spiritual and recreational events, which hinders their social, physical and mental well being.
Sai Khushiyaan Niwas Serves:
Age discriminated vulnerable groups/ elderly above 60 years of age who are unable to live with their families or are destitute.
Women faced or facing exploitation, abuse ad violence.
People with disabilities – Paralyzed and mentally ill.
