JRP has been working on WASH including MHM programme in villages and schools in Odisha. We produce low cost Sanitary Napkin “Jeevan Sathi” and promote the same in rural Odisha through women social entrepreneurs. So far we have reached 55000 school girls with MHM education through our “End Stigma Campaign” and “Happy Days Campaign”.

JRP with the support of its partner WASH United has developed an engaging MHM education guide ( PDF copy) that can be used by trainers (such as teachers, , Youth Club Members, and NGOs ) in schools to teach girls between the ages of 10 and 17 about menstruation and how they can safely and hygienically manage their periods and reduce the stigma in the society..

The following support are being provided by JRP to Schools through the volunteer teachers:

  • Providing a MHM education guide in Oriya language.
  • Training of female Teachers and girl students of concerned Schools.
  • Provide sanitary Napkins produced by JRP (Jeevan SathiBrand).
  • In case there is an upcoming opportunity, provide an incinerator to schools for installation of the same in girls toilets.
