About Jeevan Rekha Parisad
Established in 1993, JRP is an independent, secular and Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) working for peace, solidarity, human rights and sustainable development issues in Odisha state of India for rural, tribal and slum poor women, vulnerable children, under privileged youth and abandoned senior citizens.
Our Core Objectives
- Promotion of human rights and peace education in community & schools.
- Educate vulnerable children on child rights, primary and vocational education.
- Undertake women and youth friendly income generation and entrepreneurship development programme for gender equality and poverty reduction.
- Improve the reproductive sexual health status of women, adolescent girls and children through community health intervention.
- Providing Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities in rural, tribal, urban slums, Island villages and schools.
- Promoting bio-diversity conservation, natural resource management in Chilika lake / forest areas in Odisha.
- Improve occupational health status of industrial workers to reduce environmental health hazards, TB and Silicosis.
